The Internet turns 25 years old today

The internet has revolutionized how we live, do business, and we communicate.  Are you thankful for the Internet?

“In March of 1989, music was on the radio, all the news was fit to print, TV was by appointment viewing only, and movies were viewed in a theatre, or on the VCR. Twenty-five years later, that's all changed.

On March 12, 1989 computer scientist Tim Berners-Lee wrote a paper proposing the architecture that would become the World Wide Web. His intent: a simple file-sharing service for scientists. Instead, it paved the way for the tech giants of today, to simplify the things we do every day”-Karin Caifa, CNN

The Internet is winning: How can you win with the Internet?

87% of US population is on the Internet or has used the internet.

No wonder why the internet is putting a lot of stress on brick-and-mortar businesses. Specially small businesses, they must adapt to the new paradigm shift: online presence, internet marketing, social media, and ecommerce must be part of their business plan.

For instance, here are some of the changes:
Staples announce today that it will close up to 225 stores in North America by the end of next year and moving services online.
Radio Shack just announced this week that it will be closing 1,100 stores.
Best Buy already in the process of closing up to 250 stores.
Barnes & Nobles will close up to 100 stores..

It is unfortunate to see moms and pops businesses closing their doors, as well as established brands. But this is the reality in today’s economic. The world is online, mobile, and on the clouds.  The current trend is go try it at the store, then buy it online.

We are currently training business owners to get started with their online presence as well as individuals looking for residual income from the internet. It is as easier than ever to get started, but it has to be done the right way. Otherwise you could end up spending a lot of time and money with businesses that only last a few years.  We will be more than happy to use our years of experience to help anyone to get started with their own online presence.
